going out to my car this morning before work, i saw two flight formations of geese flying in tandem above me, one to my left, one to my right. they were cute lil honkers but more importantly i liked watching them change formation. the lead in one of the formations began his drop back to end, which i think (if i'm up on my ecology lessons) means that he has done his duty in flying against the harder winds, forging a path for the flock. moving to the back of the line allows him some freedom to "rest" (as much as one can rest while flying) by coasting some in the draft of the flock.
what a lesson on life.
tonight: the STATE FAIR for "farm. fresh. fun." hey, that's what the website says, not me. i can't imagine i'd use "farm", "fresh" & "fun" all in the same sentence.
carnies! food! rides! animules! exhibits! farm! fresh! fun!
